A graduate of a doctor of philosophy in mining engineering can work for or establish a consulting firm for mining, quarrying, drilling & blasting, environmental Aspects of mining, geotechnical engineering, civil
engineering or geophysical surveys. He can be employed by any company in the sector of mining, metal, quarry, energy or water resources as well as by corresponding administrations. His strong scientific
background will allow him to join research centers, institutions and universities. He can also use his different skills to integrate banks, insurance companies, public institutions or government ministries.

Admission Requirements

"i. Be a holder of a Master of Science degree in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any related Earth Sciences from Taita Taveta University, OR
ii. A holder of a Master of Science degree or equivalent academic qualifications of another recognized institution in Mining Engineering, Mineral Processing Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or any related Earth Sciences."
