The library provides remote access services to enable students, faculty, and staff to access electronic resources from off-campus locations. This service ensures that you can continue your research and studies even when away from the university.
MyLoft Remote Access
Access Library Resources via MyLoft
MyLoft provides seamless access to subscribed databases without requiring VPN. Click the button below to access the remote login portal.

Alternative: EZproxy
EZproxy provides seamless access to subscribed databases without requiring VPN. When accessing databases through the library website, you will be prompted to log in with your university credentials.

VPN Access
The university provides VPN access for secure connection to the campus network. Once connected, you can access all resources as if you were on campus.
- VPN Server: vpn.ttu.ac.ke
- Username: Your university email/ID
- Password: Your university password
Setup Instructions
Windows Setup
- Download and install the VPN client from the university IT portal
- Enter
vpn.ttu.ac.keas the server address - Enter your university credentials
- Connect and access library resources
Mac Setup
- Go to System Preferences > Network
- Click the + button and select VPN as the interface
- Enter

Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with remote access:
- Ensure you are using the correct credentials
- Clear your browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser (Chrome, Firefox, Edge)
- Disable VPN if using MyLoft (MyLoft works without VPN)
