How to Apply
Two ways to apply for admission
Visit KUCCPS Student Portal
Go to students.kuccps.net and log in with your KCSE index number and password.
Select Taita Taveta University
Choose TTU as your preferred institution and select up to 6 programmes in order of preference.
Submit Application
Review your choices and submit your application before the deadline.
Check Placement
KUCCPS will release placement results. Check your portal for admission letter.
Choose Your Programme
Browse our programmes and select the one that matches your interests and career goals.
Download Application Form
Download the self-sponsored application form from our website.
Download FormFill and Submit
Complete the form and submit it with required documents to the Admissions Office or email to admissions@ttu.ac.ke.
Pay Application Fee
Pay the application fee of KSh 1,500 via bank or M-Pesa and attach payment receipt.

Common questions from KCSE candidates
What is the minimum grade required for TTU?
The minimum requirement for degree programmes is a mean grade of C+ (Plus) and above. Diploma programmes require C (Plain), while certificate programmes require D+.
Can I apply with a D+ grade?
Yes, you can apply for certificate or diploma programmes with D+. We have several certificate and diploma programmes that can later articulate to degree programmes.
When is the application deadline?
For KUCCPS applicants, deadlines are announced by KUCCPS (usually August). For self-sponsored students, applications are accepted throughout the year, but we recommend applying by August for September intake.
How much is the application fee?
KUCCPS applicants pay through KUCCPS. Self-sponsored applicants pay KSh 1,500 for degree programmes and KSh 1,000 for diploma/certificate programmes.
Do you offer accommodation?
Yes, TTU offers both on-campus and off-campus accommodation. New hostels are being constructed under the Affordable Housing Scheme to increase capacity.
Can I apply for multiple programmes?
Yes, through KUCCPS you can select up to 6 programmes in order of preference. For self-sponsored applications, you can apply for multiple programmes with separate applications.
