Mandate of the Department

The Department of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is the central hub for managing and supporting the university's ICT infrastructure, systems, and services. Our mandate is to:

  • Develop and implement ICT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure efficient and secure operations.
  • Manage ICT projects, including the deployment of new technologies and systems to support the university's academic, administrative, and research functions.
  • Provide reliable and innovative ICT services to students, faculty, and staff.
  • Offer user support and training to enhance digital literacy and ensure effective utilization of ICT resources.
  • Ensure the security, integrity, and availability of the University's ICT systems and data.
  • Identify and integrate emerging technologies to enhance University operations and services.

About the Department

The ICT Department is responsible for providing, maintaining, and supporting the university's information and communication technology infrastructure and services to support teaching, learning, research, and administration.

Office Location

The Department of ICT is located at B7 Building in 'Runda' zone.

Delivering and maintaining ICT services such as email, learning management systems, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems

Managing the university's network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi)

Developing and maintaining the university website
Managing user accounts and access controls
Planning and implementing ICT projects
