What We Do
Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Social Sciences (EESS) is one of the departments in the School of Business, Economics and Social Sciences (SBESS). It was established in 2018 following the splitting of the former department of Business Studies and Economics following the introduction of Bachelor of Science in Economics.
The department provides teaching services to other departments in the university in the following areas: Economics, Development studies, Communication Skills, and Entrepreneurship Skills.

Dr. Rehema is a Lecturer in the Department of Economics, Entrepreneurship and Social Sciences, involved in training and supervising of business students. She holds a PhD and a Master degree in Business Administration (Operations Management) from the University of Nairobi and an undergraduate degree in Purchasing and Supply Management from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and technology.
Rehema is an expert in the field of procurement and operations management including product, process and job design, efficient and flexible operations, Sustainable operations, supply chain management, inventory management and green procurement. She has worked at different capacities, as a teaching assistant, tutorial fellow and an examiner at KISM. She is also a member of Kenya institute of purchasing and supplies Management (KISM) and Chartered institute of purchasing and supply.
