REGISTRATION AND ORIENTATION OF NEW FIRST YEAR STUDENTS, ACADEMIC YEAR 2020/2021 INTAKE

The University Council, Management, Staff and ongoing Students formally congratulate and welcome all First-Year Students of the 2020/2021 Academic Year intake for competitively securing a place to study at Taita Taveta University, the Home of Ideas. The University is strategically located in the scenic Taita Taveta County, 8 kilometers off the Nairobi – Mombasa highway, overlooking Voi Town. It is a strategic player in national and regional development and an Academic Centre of Excellence with a special focus on Mining and Mineral Processing Engineering.

In order to facilitate your registration and commencement of studies, kindly take note of and act on the following:

  1. Registration of all new students will be done online from 7th September 2020 and close on 13th September 2020.
  2. Virtual Orientation of the registered students commences on 14th September 2020. The orientation programme as well as a link and instructions on how to join the virtual orientation will be sent to individual students via their registered email address.
  3. Online Classes will commence on 21st September 2020.
  4. Fees payment: All Students are required to pay their fees, through the bank accounts whose details were given in the Fees Structure and Letter of Admission, before the day of Registration.
  5. Laptops: All Students are encouraged to purchase a laptop, minimum specifications are given below.
  6. Face to Face Learning is expected to commence from January 2021, or as soon as the Government of Kenya advises that universities may re-open.
  7. Subsidized bundles: All registered students will be advised on how to access subsidized mobile data bundles.
